Santa Cruz Hostel Society is Accepting Candidates for its Election of Directors. The deadline to apply is March 31, 2023!
The Santa Cruz Hostel Society, a nonprofit corporation, has provided hostel services for 30+ years on a site that is near Santa Cruz Beach, on the National Register of Historic Places, and leased from the City of Santa Cruz. Persons serving on this board support a well-established, low-cost hostel service for international and domestic travelers.

Purpose
The purposes of the Society are to help people of all ages to a greater knowledge, understanding and love of the world by providing hostels, by assisting them in their travels, and by helping them to develop happier, stronger, finer, and more wholesome lives; to make possible, through hosteling, wide friendships that link people together the world over; to develop an effective organization within the community for promoting hostels; and to develop and operate one or more hostels in the Santa Cruz County for the benefit of both local and visiting hostelers.

The officers, directors, committee members, employees, and persons served by this corporation shall be selected entirely on a nondiscriminatory basis with respect to age, sex, race, religion, national origin, and sexual orientation. It is the policy of Santa Cruz Hostel Society not to discriminate on the basis of race, creed, ancestry, marital status, gender, sexual orientation, age, physical disability, veteran’s status, political service or affiliation, color, religion, or national origin.
